Actress Disha Vakani has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her versatile performances. She became a household name because of her portrayal of Dayaben in Asit Kumarr Modi’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Fans have been eagerly for the past six years for the actress to make her return to the show. Amidst it all, she recently made a public appearance with her businessman husband and daughter at a Navratri event.
According to a report by the India Express, the actress visited the SCD Barfiwala School, Mumbai, to celebrate the auspicious festival of Navratri with 500 special kids. Photos and videos of her appearance are currently going viral on social media, with netizens speculating if she might finally be returning to the show after six long years. Talking about her appearance, Disha chose to wear a pink net saree with a golden and blue border. Not only was she seen participating in the puja with her husband, but she also interacted with kids. For the unversed, after getting married, Disha went on a maternity break in 2017 when she delivered her daughter. She returned to the show in 2019, in a special cameo. However, she went on break again and delivered her son in 2020. Years later fans are still eagerly waiting for her small-screen comeback. On the chatter around her return, producer Asit Kumarr Modi has gone back and forth on whether or not Disha will return on the show. While he had earlier stated that she might return, he also dropped hints of replacing the actress with someone new.
Talking about the show, over the years a lot of actors have been replaced and re-casted. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently the longest-running comedy show on Indian television.
